Steam’s Next Fest page is up! Going to be taking a quick look and will post what I’m looking to try out, though one of the trending at the top of the list is Lightyear Frontier. The demo went up a few days ago as I caught on Bluesky’s game dev feed a few days back. I’ve already put an hour into it, and it’s similar to a lot of other cozy games with farming and building, on an alien world…but you get a mech this time! It’s been fairly fun so far though, and I’ll have a proper post about the game later when I’ve given it a bit more time. Otherwise, Stormgate from former Starcraft devs is up, and a new 4X game from Paradox called Millennia make up some of the other big titles up to try.
I’ll probably give these a try, but, the big ones are the easiest ones to pick up later when they launch, so I’ll be digging for some of what appeals to me and making sure to get time into those as well.
I’m getting this post up quick before running out for the evening so expect more later/tomorrow as I get into it, as well as my backlogged posts from prior Fests that I haven’t done here.
