It’s Plants vs Zombies, but with cats…who are on duty I guess. I think that’s also meant to be a Call of Duty riff. Gameplay is a bit like classic PvZ, but with a match 3 for resources instead of sunlight.
It wasn’t too bad, and only took about 20 minutes to finish the demo, which is still available on their Steam page.
It did still also feels like it might need a bit of work when I played back in October. Perhaps more control on the combine/upgrade mechanic. You have to watch how you arrange your units on the field lest you suddenly combine multiple units into a stronger unit and potentially leave rows undefended.
