Ok, really the release date is TBA on it’s Steam page. Aviassembly is still a fun little game where you build your first plane out of what seems like a broken bicycle, duct tape and an engine from a ’64 Studebaker and try to complete small missions.
As you complete these missions, you’ll get points for unlocking more tech, as well as the money for more parts, allowing you to build bigger and better planes. Though the demo’s limited in a way that won’t let you build the knockoff jumbo jet of your dreams without a ton of grinding…I still had a lot of fun trying to manage my early builds and just try to make it between landing strips. In fact, while writing this, I went to see if you could reasonably unlock the tech tree that exists now or not, and in theory, you could with enough time and effort.
I enjoy my flight sims, so, I might be biased in that I dumped another 3 hours into the demo chasing the next upgrade, tweaking my current plane setup. So, if you’re like me, Aviassembly is a demo worth checking out and wishlisting.
