One BTN Bosses is essentially that. You’re a little ship on rails that shoots towards the center, and you have to dodge attacks by pressing the button to change direction. There are options to tweak aspects of your ship, where you speed up the longer you stay one direction, or fire faster because of it, or dash when you press the button.
The game has the regular campaign boss rush mode, as well as a roguelike mode. The demo was limited in either aspect, but gave enough of a taste to show how addictive it can be to try and work for perfect runs with no hits. Plus a banger of a soundtrack.
One BTN Bosses released last month, is currently on sale for 20% off, and is 11.99 at regular price. It’s one of the initial batch of indies Outersloth is helping publish.
